This is just the program I have been looking for. Simple to use, nothing elaborate, just right.

Set-up is decent and straight forward, but you cant export the information.

While inputting all of your transaction data by hand can be time consuming, I have enjoyed the clean & simple interface, as well as the lack of accounting jargon. The ability to sort by account type and category, as well as by date, is an easy way to make sure you stay in the black. And you cant beat the price… I look forward to updates - the ability to import and export data from bank sites, and make reports would be super.

This is a great app for anyone needing to keep a simple account of personal or club financial business. One can keep a running balance with descriptions of transactions that have taken place. Being able to select date ranges make it possible to submit monthly (or any date range) reports. The fact that it is simple means those who do not have spreadsheet experience or courses in accounting can still get the job done.

This is great for those of us who need something simple that we can set up ourselves, without the help of an accountant. This saves me from paying a bookkeeper! Its very intuitive. Im a hairdresser and dont like complicated bookkeeping, Im too busy to learn it. I need to be able to see and understand what im doing in my business, and quickbooks was way too much for me, Thanks Andybooks!!!!

Its easy, its simple, it doesnt have 5 million functions that I dont need, it just has the ones I do need. And Support is quick and helpful.

All I needed for my small business was a very simple expense and income program. Other programs I tried were way too complicated. Andy Books is just perfect. You can enter your post with as much information you want, such as name and address of a buyer, or as little as you want. I had a small problem which I communicated to the program designer and got immediate feedback which was very helpful. I recommend this product with five stars and would give ten if I could.

This easy-to-use income & expense program is perfect for my business! I do not need any sophisticated or complex bookkeeping/accounting software -- just an easy way to keep track of my income and expenses. AndyBooks lets me create my own income & expense categories, too, so Ive tailored it to exactly match my business needs. The four simple views of all my transactions are exactly what I need to get an immediate view of the financial health of my business. Im very happy with what Andy has provided. Many thanks!

This application is terrific for our small non-profit organization. Weve written less than a dozen checks so far this year and this gives us the flexibility to categorize, describe and reference expenses and income appropriate to what we do. Quickbooks is just too complex for our needs and too difficult to make changes. Our accountant thought we could get by with just a check register, but this gives us a bit more ability to provide details. It is also easier to send him a pdf of the record. Thank you, this is just perfect!

I have been using AndyBooks since January of this year and have been quite pleased with it. A week or so ago, my Mac told me AndyBooks was damaged, could not be opened, and needed to be deleted and re-installed. When I contacted Andy, he quickly directed me to the latest download to fix the problem. Good as new!! I plan to use his AndyTax program starting in January for the next tax year.

This ledger system is perfect for my business needs. Simple to use and point on for clear accounting records. You cannot beat the value! Also, customer service is easy to reach and questions are clearly and quickly answered. Thank you Andy —this is another great one from you!

After years of using an older version of a popular mass-market personal finance program, I was looking for a simple, Mac-oriented app to keep tax-time-worthy books for my one-person consulting business. I have been using AndyBooks since the start of the year, and I’m completely satisfied. I set up some basic US Schedule C expense categories and a few income categories, and entries have been quick and painless. I do wish the app had built-in capacity to password-protect its data files. Instead, I did a little research and learned how to create a password-protected disk image file, which holds my AndyBooks data file. When I want to enter expenses and income, I mount the .dmg file (which requires a password) and then open the data file inside the virtual disk. When I’m done, I have to remember to dismount the virtual disk. It’s an extra step, but not enough of a problem to deny the app five stars.

This is simple, intuitive, completely customizable for my small business.

I was using a notebook for my business finances and bookeeping, but I needed something that would total everything and keep track for me. I love how simple it is. It includes just what you need. I also LOVE being able to customize input and create presets easily to use again and again. I would recommend AndyBooks to any small business!

Just started using this program. I am not a math person or an accountant. I just wanted something simple to keep track of expenditures for a very small business I’m starting. Andy Books is so wonderful and easy to use. I have my categories all set up. All I have to do is add my purchases and income. Couldn’t be easier. It’s going to make paying my tax season so much easier. Thank you!!!

Why couldn’t the developers add an option for classifying expenses and income by vendor / customer?
